We've all heard the phrase, "You can't take it with you..." Well, on the way to town the other day, I saw this sign on the marquee at Three Forks Baptist Church that gave that saying an entirely new meaning.
"He who dies with the most toys... is still dead!"
It may sound funny, and maybe a little harsh, but it's absolutely true. God calls us to focus on the things of His kingdom, not the things of the world. We may try during our lifetime to accumulate as much stuff as we can, but when we go, the stuff stays here. Let's take time today to refocus our hearts and minds on God.
"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" (Mark 8:36, KJV)
